Two Doctors Specializing in Hematology/Oncology and Urology Join Holy Cross Medical Group

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Doctors Delia Constanza Guaqueta and Kirin Syed have joined Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician employed group of more than 140 physicians providing services throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Delia Constanza Guaqueta, M.D.

Prior to joining Holy Cross, hematologist/oncologist Delia Constanza Guaqueta, M.D., practiced at a private practice in Boston. Dr. Guaqueta is certified in medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Massachusetts Medical Society. Dr. Guaqueta completed her fellowship in hematology-oncology at Boston Medical Center and her residency in internal medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and received her medical degree from the Universidad de La Sabana in Colombia. She is fluent in English and Spanish.


Kirin Syed, D.O.

Dr. Kirin Syed previously served as an associate physician in the departments of urology at Memorial Healthcare System in Miramar, Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, and the Weston Outpatient Surgical Center in Weston. She is a member of the American Urological Association, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, and the Society of Women in Urology. 

Dr. Syed received the Resident Achievement Award from the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons in 2016, the National Guardian of the Profession award from the American Osteopathic Association in 2015, and the Residents Forum Grant from the American Urological Association, also in 2015.She has several years of research experience and has been published in numerous medical journals.

She completed a clinical fellowship in voiding dysfunction, female urology and urologic reconstruction at the Bladder Health and Reconstructive Urology Institute in Miramar and her residency and internship at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine/ Kennedy University Hospitals in Stratford, N.J., where she served as urological surgery chief intern and urological surgery chief resident. 

Dr. Syed received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey’s School of Osteopathic Medicine and her bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. She is proficient in Urdu and Hindi with a working knowledge of Spanish.
